The Finance Committee supports the financial health and sustainability of the Southern Nevada Chapter of ASSP. The committee works in partnership with the Chapter Treasurer and Executive Committee to provide oversight of chapter finances, support budget development and financial planning, and help ensure chapter funds are managed in accordance with ASSP policies and chapter bylaws.
The committee assists with reviewing financial reports, advising on budgeting and financial trends, and promoting transparency and sound financial practices. In addition, the Finance Committee administers the Chapter’s Professional Development Fund, including reviewing and evaluating applications for professional development awards and providing recommendations to the Executive Committee for approval. Committee members meet quarterly and provide input and recommendations as needed throughout the year.
Finance Committee activities may include:
- Supporting budget development and financial planning
- Reviewing financial reports and providing financial oversight
- Advising on financial policies and best practices
- Administering the Chapter’s Professional Development Fund

To save committee meeting dates, download the *.ics files from the pushpin icon next to each date, and you’ll notice the Location field contains the Google Meet link. Open the *.ics file in your computer’s Downloads folder, and it should add the event to your calendar of choice (Outlook, etc.).
