Expired January Chapter Meeting – NIOSH’s Total Worker Health Model

  • SoNV Chapter January Meeting - Total Worker Health
     January 21, 2025
     1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Start the year off right with a holistic approach to employee safety.

Southern Nevada chapter member Al Roth of BSI EHS Professional Services will present on how he guides employers to implement the Total Worker Health (TWH) model championed by NIOSH and growing in adoption by safety professionals nationwide. Al’s presentation seeks to engage attendees in a discussion on how our workplaces can be influenced to develop and sustain cultures that embrace TWH & Safety. Especially as organizations are guiding themselves through the pace and variety of operational and technological change, this is a critical opportunity to assess how and why to do so. Assessing their workplace culture and how a TWH approach can be used to meet EHS, quality & business goals can be a benefit to any organization.

Here’s what you can expect to learn by attending:

  • Review how culture and behaviors influence each other and can impact any workplace.
  • Define Total Worker Health (TWH) as modeled by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
  • Describe how culture can affect TWH and Safety along with business performance.
  • Explain how organizations can assess opportunities to improve adoption of TWH principles.

(This meeting is approved for 0.2 CEUs. Interested in helping our chapter offer CEUs? Join the Program Committee!)
