The class will discuss the scope and applicability of the standard, the equipment/task-specific engineering controls table, exposure monitoring, the written exposure control plan, respiratory protection requirements, training, medical surveillance, etc. There will be hands-on training for collecting air samples including information regarding what equipment is necessary, how to calibrate it and set the proper flow rate, and what issues must be addressed when requesting the laboratory analyses.
